Our Story

Happy Doodle Farm began with a fourth-grade persuasive essay.

Our daughter Aspen wanted one thing  more than anything else. A Goldendoodle. Her paper laid out all the reasons a doodle would be the perfect family companion: gentle temperament, eagerness to learn, and a coat that wouldn’t leave the couch covered in fur. We said yes, welcomed our first doodle into the house, and fell head-over-paws in love.

But Aspen didn’t stop there. After volunteering alongside therapy and service dogs, she saw how a well-trained doodle could change lives: easing anxiety, helping children read, offering mobility support. She asked a new question: “What if our puppies could do that for other families?” Together—as parents, siblings, and grandparents—we helped make her vision a reality. We designed a tiered training program that now ranges from two-week “good manners” courses to full service-dog curriculums. Aspen still helps write the protocols; our trainers follow them to the letter.

We’ve spent 13 years in the family-pet world, but nothing compares to the teamwork behind Happy Doodle Farm:

• Guardian Home Program – Loving families across the U.S. raise our momma and daddy dogs as their own pets. This keeps every breeding dog the center of someone’s life while giving our puppies the best genetic start.

• Careful Parent Selection – Each prospective parent passes an Embark® genetic panel, temperament testing, and eye/heart clearances before joining the program.

• In-Home Whelping – Every litter is born in a family living room, never in a kennel. Mom’s health and comfort come first; puppies meet gentle human hands from day one.

What We Promise (and What We Don’t)

We’re transparent about doodles and allergies: no dog is truly “hypoallergenic.” Some of our lines shed very little, but families with severe allergies should always meet a doodle in person first.

What we do promise is:

1. Total health disclosure—vet records, OFA/Embark results, and a two-year health guarantee are provided up-front.

2. Training that fits your goals—from basic obedience to custom service-dog tasks.

3. Lifetime support—whether you need grooming tips at month six or refresher training at year six, we’re an email away.

When Aspen wrote her essay, she dreamed of one great dog. Today, that dream has grown into a nationwide community of families, guardian homes, and expertly trained doodles—each one ready to bring a little more comfort, confidence, and joy into the world.
